We are pleased to welcome you to the “Online e-learning seminar for university professors” taught by the Catholic University of Ávila, which will take place from February 28 to 4 March. On behalf of all of the teaching team participating in this Seminar, we would like to thank you for your confidence and interest.

We would like to inform you of five important details regarding the organisation of the seminar. Please, read these details carefully so you can make the most of the seminar:

1) Programme

The seminar has been split into 5 sessions taught on 5 different days.

All sessions will be held at 5pm Spanish time (also Central European Time)

1ª Assessment in ICT-supported learning environments

2ª. Online game-based learning
Speaker: Dr. Álex Salas
Tuesday, 1th March at 5pm Spanish

3ª. The transformation of teaching in online learning environments
Speaker: Dr. Diana Eguía
Wednesday, 2nd March at 5pm Spanish time

4ª. Strategies for teaching science and technology online
Speaker: Dr. Carlos Romero
Thursday, 3rd March at 5 pm Spanish time

5ª. Strategies for teaching social sciences online
Speaker: Dr. Iván Martín
Friday, 4th March at 5pm Spanish time

2) Access to the seminar sessions

On 25 February, you will receive an email with instructions on how to participate in the seminar, as well as your username and password. Please bear in mind that:

  • If you do not receive this email with your login details, check your spam folder as it may have arrived there.
  • If you have any problems with your login details, please ensure you have entered them correctly.
  • Similarly, on the day of the first session, connect 30 minutes before in case there are any problems.
  • Finally, bear in mind that if you log in to the online classroom at a different time to the sessions, nobody will be connected.

3) Access to recordings of the sessions

 Due to intellectual property rights, we are unable to share recordings of the sessions or the PowerPoints used by the speakers. Therefore, please do not miss any sessions in which you would like to participate.

4) Issuance of certificates

It is completely free to attend the seminar. Participants who attend 4 or 5 of the sessions can request a digital certificate for a €20 fee. Once the seminar has finished, you will be sent instructions on how to request the digital certificate, in case you are interested in buying one. If you do, your certificate will be issued within one week.
